Our association was founded on October 9th,2012 to support bereaved families who lost their loved ones in North Korea after World War Two. We aim to implement tours to visit graves, and bring back approximately 30,000 mortal remains of Japanese still in North Korea, which have remained there for over 67 years.
We are working with the relevant Japanese authorities and the North Korean government to implement the following activities:
・Investigate the location and condition of Japanese mortal remains in North Korea
・Help bereaved families to travel North Korea to visit grave sites
・Work for building a charnel, a grave marker or a tombstone, in North Korea
・The dissemination of information to affected Japanese family members
